CANADA: SEARCHING FOR CANADA'S YUMMIEST MUMMY
20TH SEPTEMBER 2007
From the We Don't Make This Stuff Up Department : Erica Ehm, creator of www.yummymummyclub.ca and one of Canada's most recognizable media personalities, has launched Canada's Yummiest Mummy Contest , presented by AIR MILES Reward Program . "Moms are invited to create and upload their homemade videos in hopes of winning yummy prizes including a trip of a lifetime courtesy of AIRMILES." Erica says, "If you can upload a video You Tube style—you're on your way to being crowned the yummiest!" This user-generated online video community celebrates hard-working, multi-tasking, sexy moms who entertain, inspire and survive at work, at home and at play.
Beginning Oct. 1, 2007, people can go to the web site to register and vote by choosing the contestant video that they think is the yummiest. Voters are automatically entered to win Yummy prizes just for casting a vote.
Finalists vying for the grand prize will be judged by The Mummy Mafia panel (WeeWelcome.ca, UrbanMoms.ca, Mommyclub.ca, SavvyMom.ca, ConnectMoms.com, FunnyMummy.ca). The winner of the grand prize will be announced on Dec. 23, 2007.
So moms, be sure to upload your videos to be part of the Yummiest Mummy Contest. Besides the grand prize from AIR MILES, there are numerous other yummy prizes from Roots, Crock-Pot, Disney, Cadbury, McCain Foods just to name a few.
"We're not looking for the next Martha Stewart," says Ehm. "That's not realistic or yummy. Canada's Yummiest Mummy will be inspired, dynamic, interested, stimulated, imperfect and occasionally naughty (and probably tired). That's Yummy!"

1-800-FLOWERS.COM LINKS TO FRESH REWARDS TO FACEBOOK
20TH SEPTEMBER 2007
DM News reports that 1-800-Flowers.com can now link its rewards program to Facebook with a new application called "Gimme Love," which connects customer relationship programs to Facebook applications and widgets, enabling a retailer or consumer brand to reward customers for activities they do while on the social networking site.
The article states that 1-800-Flowers.com is rewarding members of its Fresh Rewards loyalty program for referring friends.
More news: applications in development will enable Facebook members who give virtual flowers to also purchase them, as well as earn points or discounts on purchases when friends click branded links, site referrals and sweepstakes enrollments.
COLLOQUY wonders if virtual flowers are what you give a online spouse when you have a cyber-fight. Or if you can click and smell the roses.

In the article, Andrew Souvaliotis, Chief Executive Officer of Green Rewards Inc. , said, "the idea of the new program is to tap into Canadians' desire to be part of the solution to global warming, but in a painless way that meshes with their spending patterns."
The one thing the points cannot be redeemed for would be airline flights, which contribute to greenhouse gases.
